FAQ (Frequently Asked questions)

The cost?

Tuition for a first year student for the 2008/2009 school year is $5500. This includes travel expenses, meals while traveling, Bethel College tuition, and various retreats and camps. This does not include ministry trip cost and personal toiletries items.

What about housing?

Each student stays with “home openers”. Home openers are host families that open their homes for the students for the nine months. The home openers provide a space to sleep and meals while in town.

When does the program begin?

The program begins Saturday, August 23rd 2008 and ends May 24th, 2009. Students will be able to go home during Thanksgiving (November) and Christmas (December) breaks.

What are the requirements?

A potential student needs to be between the ages of 17-26, with a high school diploma or GED.

Is everyone accepted?

Unfortunately, not everyone will not be accepted. We understand that HMC isn’t for everyone and everyone isn’t a fit for HMC. We’re not looking for the perfect person; we are looking for those individuals who desire to know more about God.
